Entry for 2018 (HERE)
Welcome to 31 Days of Horror Figures 2019. For the month of October, we will be spotlighting the very best of the macabre, bizarre, monstrous, and villainous action figures the industry has to offer. There will be both old and new figures here and perhaps even a significance to why we picked that figure for that day (and perhaps not). This is NOT a ranking list, just full-blown horror fun for the greatest month of the year.
On this day, in 1962, Bobby Pickett’s “Monster Mash” hit #1 on the charts. We decided to honor that moment in rock/ horror history with a video (below) and rockin' Super7's release of Frankenstein. Certainly, the ReAction line, under Funko, had their fair share of releases of Boris Karloff as the Frankenstein's Monster. We decided that the Super7 release, with the incredible art design packaging by Ed Repka was the version we wanted for our 2019 list. To be honest with you, this is one to keep on the card, as are all the Ed Repka design packages.
Note: You won't find on "Frank" on Super7's website store any longer but we did find him on Hot Topic's website! Linked above.
Enjoy Pickett’s performance on American Bandstand below and check out the full list of figures as it evolves HERE.
