Figure: Halloween Michael Myers Evolution of Evil 2-Pack
Series: Cult Classics Hall of Fame Series 1

Welcome to AFJ's 31 Days of Horror Figures. For the month of October, we will be spotlighting the very best of the macabre, bizarre, monstrous, and villainous action figures the industry has to offer. There will be both old and new figures here and perhaps even a significance to why we picked that figure for that day (and perhaps not). This is NOT a ranking list, just full blown horror fun for the greatest month of the year. #AFJ4LIFE
Today, in Halloween/ Movie History, a broad change was made to the Halloween franchise. Today marks the anniversary release of Halloween III: Season of the Witch. Yes, the one without Michael Myers (who is still technically in the film, FYI). The powers that be decided to tell another tale, set at Halloween, that involved witches, masks, and going after children. It was once scoffed at and now has become a cult classic. Trust me, you will want to watch it, now.
In 2006, NECA went in a different direction with their Cult Classics Series and released a two-pack of Michael Myers figures based on the original 1978 film. "Halloween Michael Myers: The Evolution of Evil" showcases Michael at age 6, played in the film by Will Sandin, and Michael at age 23 played by Tommy Lee Wallace. Wallace would go onto direct, Halloween III: Season of the Witch. See it's all connected.
So, despite not having actual action figures from Halloween III: Season of the Witch we still celebrate the film (see the video below) and our love for the film's director. Happy Halloween.
