Welcome to AFJ's 31 Days of Horror Figures. For the month of October, we will be spotlighting the very best of the macabre, bizarre, monstrous, and villainous action figures the industry has to offer. There will be both old and new figures here and perhaps even a significance to why we picked that figure for that day (and perhaps not). This is NOT a ranking list, just full blown horror fun for the greatest month of the year. #AFJ4LIFE
See the film's trailer below and check out AFJ's full list of figures as it evolves HERE.
In 1922 F.W. Murnau brought to life the novel "Dracula" by Bram Stroker with he calledNosferatu. That was until the Stroker family sued him for copyright infringement and Murnau was ordered to destroy all copies of his film. Thankfully, a copy of the film survived and the story of Count Orlok was truly born.
Today AFJ celebrates the horror legacy of Count Orlok in action figure form with the release of Super7's Count Orlok. The figure is in color, there is a black and white version available, however, we thought it was best to give the old boy so color.
With that being said we also would like to mention the 1979 remake of the F.W. Murnau film, Nosferatu the Vampyre by Werner Herzog and featuring Klaus Kinski in the title role. We've included the trailer for that crazy film below.
Count Orlok is our first vampire on the list, not our last, but the first vampire to grace the silver screen!
