AFJ’S TOP POPS WE WANT TO SEE AUGUST 2015!

It's that time already where another month has gone by and the Junkies demand more POPS! I was surprised at just how quickly I thought of these ten new entries to FUNKO for POP! VINYLS possibilities and that just chalks it up to these simple collectibles popularity and collectability. It never ends! For every five TV or movie titles I think of, there are another fifteen! And that's without even drinking! So sit back and take a look at AFJ's AUGUST 2015 picks for TOP POPS WE WANT TO SEE!!

10. THE A-TEAM

Hannibal, "Howlin' Mad" Murdoch, "B.A" Baracus & Face-man. Not much more to say. Although the black van with red stripe would be pretty dope to throw in there with Hannibal popping out the top maybe with some voice action saying, "I love it when a plan comes together!"

THEATEAM

9. WATERWORLD

They may have called it "Fishtar" mockingly because it was like the huge bomb with Dustin Hoffman & Warren Beatty "ISHTAR" but if this film were made today, the budget would not nearly seem as bloated. Anyway, I love this movie! Kevin Costner as The Mariner, Dennis Hopper as Deacon, Jeanne Tripplehorn as Helen and Tina Majorino as Enola. And what about a Chase of Jack Black as "Pilot" (Remember he got the harpoon through him while flying! Yup, that's Jack Black!)

8. WELCOME BACK, KOTTER

This one is an easy call for the late 70's sitcom that made John Travolta a superstar but also made the word "Sweathog" a household name. Up your nose with a rubber hose! Hairy Canary!

SWEATHOGS

7. TEEN WOLF

In the 80's, Michael J. Fox was King. Hit sitcom, hit movies--the guy could do it all. Even play basketball with mad skills with the rock on the court. Okay maybe that was a stunt double but it was still damn cool. I remember the wolf transformation scaring the hell out of me in the theater (hey, I was 8) but TEEN WOLF became one of my all time go to 80's videotapes. Time for some POPS! And you gotta include STILES!!

6. DIE HARD

The action movie that redefined action movies and made Bruce Willis a household name. Along with MOONLIGHT, ouch. Anyway, one cop, one skyscraper, a team of terrorists armed to the teeth--what could go wrong? Only the greatest action movie in action movie history! We need John McClane, Hans Gruber, and a Chase Sgt. Al Powell. Maybe a six pack of the European terrorists, who knows!

5. GREASE

WOMP-BOP-A-LOO-BOP-A-WOP-BAM-BOOM! Everybody's favorite movie to sing along to is still as relevant as ever especially with its 40th Anniversary coming up, POPS are essential to celebrate the milestone. Zuko, Sandy, Kenickie, Rizzo and the gang are all waiting to be POP ready as fast as Grease Lightning. Ooo, a Grease Lightning POP car would be cool too!

4. FLETCH

The 1985 cult classic needs one POP character to be made: FLETCH. That is all. Just FLETCH. And maybe one Variant FLETCH of one of his disguises, preferably the one where he's roller skating on the beach. FLETCH, its a must POP.

3. ANIMAL HOUSE

Perhaps the greatest comedy of the 70's needs the POP treatment already. The guys from Delta Chi deserve it after generations of showing us how to do college right. There are too many characters to list but ANIMAL HOUSE is must for POP-hood. Plus the DEATHMOBILE!!

ANIMALHOUSE

2. CHEERS

The little bar in Boston where everybody knows their name lasted for a ridiculous 271 episodes on NBC. Led by Sammy "Mayday" Malone, Norm, Cliff, Woody and the rest of the gang, CHEERS became NBC's first "MUST SEE TV" sitcom and went out with a bang. So where are the POPS?

1.NATIONAL LAMPOON'S VACATION (1983)

Although it had a solid reboot this summer starring Ed Helms and Christina Applegate, there is nothing that can ever replace the original. The 1983 trip to Walley World from Chicago was the most hilarious road trip that we will ever see on film. That means its time for the POP treatment.
