Collecting Mego Figures: The Numbers that Matter

AFJ fully embraced the return of Mego in 2018. We have noticed one thing in particular about how collecting habits,  we are checking the numbers on all the figures. Why? The majority of Mego figures released are numbered to 10,000. Certainly, getting any number between 1 and 10 would be great (along with 100, 500, 1000, 5000, and so forth). The Star Trek figures alone also have a certain ship’s number (1701) that make any one of those worthwhile. So when it comes to the Universal Monsters, The Brady Bunch, Bewitched, and the rest what should we be looking for?

This is AFJ’s break down of the Mego figures you should be on the lookout for! this list encompasses every Mego from 2018 and the first three announced (so far) for 2019! #AFJ4LIFE

How about doing a horror host series. Past and present, making sure Captain USA is one of them. Offer a small cardboard or past set for them maybe. Again, if you use the idea, please give me a chance to buy the 1st addition. Also…. Ed Wood and do Ed Wood play sets for Plan 9. Just hire me…. I have tons of ideas for you guys.

The numbers on all Mego figures are on the front packaging (gold sticker). Look at the Romulan Commander (above) as well as Farah, Joe Namath, and Ali. If it says “endorsed” it was a promo copy or sold at a convention. Mego’s bought at Target are numbered to 10,000.

What about Joe Namath #12 for his uniform? That would be a good number to have.
