Almost every person who read the Harry Potter series as it released over the ten years between 1997 and 2007, or after, has been waiting for their letter of acceptance into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry well past the age they should have received it.
Today is not the day that the letter is coming, but we received some hope that it will come in a different form. Jam City, a Los Angeles based mobile gaming studio, has announced on its Youtube Channel that they have been working with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to create Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery.
The mobile RPG is set to release this year and we can hope it is sooner rather than later because I need to learn Defense Against the Dark Arts, I have some people I need to stupefy.

Official Description: Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is the first game in which players can create their own character and experience life as a Hogwarts student. In the roleplaying game, players will create a personalized student avatar, attend classes, learn magical skills, form friendships or rivalries with other students, and make pivotal decisions that will influence their character’s story arc as they traverse their years at Hogwarts and grow as a witch or wizard. The game will launch under Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s Portkey Games, a label dedicated to creating gaming experiences inspired by the magic and adventures of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World.
