Longtime creator and Marvel Comics contributor, spokesman, personality, and star, Stan Lee has passed away. Stan Lee was 95 years old. Lee the co-creator of Marvel's the Black Panther, Spider-Man, X-Men, The Mighty Thor, Iron Man, The Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, Daredevil, Ant-Man, to name just a few, passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday.
AFJ's thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. He is with his beloved Joan now, who passed away last year.
AFJ's Take: I am not worthy enough to eulogizing a man I never knew. However, Stan Lee came into my life via cartoons on a Saturday morning. He was the opening narrator for many of the Marvel cartoons I watched on a Saturday morning. I had no idea who he was or the impact he would have on my life then. In fact, years later, Spider-Man, a character he co-created with Steve Ditko would become my hero and my inspiration to do the right thing regardless of the cost. Stan Lee created many of the characters we hold a personal kinship too. That alone is his greatest legacy. He inspired generations of boys and girls to be as good as or better than all the heroes he created. There will never be a day that Stan Lee will not be a part of lives, nor will any of us ever forget who he was or what he did for us. Thank you, Stan. Forever will you be our man. #Excelsior
