UPDATE: Yes, you read that right, Junkies, Blade is not apart of the MCU's Phase Four but in fact Phase Five. Collider’s own Steve Weintraub caught up with Marvel's Kevin Feige a got a confirmation on where Blade falls in the new MCU. The interview is above!

It's hard to argue with the recasting of Blade in the MCU. Sorry Wesley Snipes fans, but Academy Award-winning Mahershala Ali and former villain of Netflix's Luke Cage is a vast improvement. It will be interesting to see where Marvel Studios places Blade. Not in terms of a release schedule but in time within the Marvel Universe. Being that he is a vampire, who was introduced in the Seventies, created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan, and ageless, Marvel could establish the character and bring him forward in time to catch up with the current cast of characters. This could also be Marvel's first straight forward Horror comic book movie. Hopefully, Blade will retain that rated R motif that fans have come to appreciate.

Below you find the current cast of the BLADE film (so far), as well as some suggested reading before the film arrives. No date for the film has been revealed yet. #AFJ4LIFE

Following the “Black Widow” presentation, Feige had another big surprise up his sleeve for the enthusiastic Hall H crowd. He was joined on stage by actor Mahershala Ali and then announced the new Marvel Studios feature film “Blade” that Ali will star in.

At this point, we highly recommend picking up Marvel's "Tomb of Dracula" and checking out Blade's adventures.

Already we, the action figure collectors, will be digging out or be hunting for the Mezco Toyz One:12 Blade or the Marvel Legends figure!

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
