To commemorate the 80th anniversary of Batman (#Batman80), AFJ has decided to join in the fun with columns, lists, and reviews from now until Batman Day (Sept. 15th, 2019). The incredible thing about 80 years of Batman in pop culture is that we can literally feature anything from comics to movies to Louie, the Lilac. Yes, Louie, the Lilac (Google him Millenials). Today, we turn our attention to an action figure from 2019. Enjoy Junkies! #AFJ4LIFE

This week we are diving into the noir'ish world of Batman The Animated series. We're looking at one at a figure based off of one of my favorite episodes, HARDAC Batman.
I purchased this from Supervtoys.com. They have a great figure selection, great prices, and super fast shipping. I definitely recommend them. This figure was produced by DC Collectibles in their long-running Batman: The Animated Series line. HARDAC Batman utilizes the new body that DCC has come up with. The legs being the most noticeable difference between this and the original Batman figure. It's definitely an improvement. The figure itself really is a work of art. The articulation is abundant and the paint apps (on mine) are very crisp. The cyborg parts are painted a flat gray, and really make him stand out. He comes with 2 heads, a half Batman/Cyborg head and then an all cyborg head. He also comes with a swashbuckler sword (from the episode) and laser finger hands.
I recommend you heat the heads up before trying to pop them on and off for the first time. Mine seemed a little resistant at first, and when heated up it looks like they painted the neck peg. Once heated and put on, they are easy to replace.
Overall? It's a solid figure. A very standout and scary looking Batman on your Batman shelf. The one drawback or nitpick of this figure is the cape. There is a sculpted mask folded back to replicate him removing his skin to expose his full cyborg head. While cool looking, it kind of defeats the purpose of having the half Batman head. But that definitely shouldn't stop you from picking this guy up! #LongLiveTheBat
