Good morning, Junkies! Happy Saturday Morning Cereal and Cartoons: Insert smiling emoji. This morning we celebrate the wonders of Star Wars with an episode of Star Wars: Ewoks, "Raich". One of the things that really stood out to me, in this episode, was the uniqueness of the character’s names. Some of the creature’s names came out of left field for me, i.e. the Raich monster. Wicket unleased this monster, and in order to make everything right he had to take a magical journey to replace the cap atop the Raich’s head. Complete with sparkling fairy-like dust, this episode definitely kept me entertained.
Of course, we must not forget the cereal, Junkies! For cereal to accompany this lovely cartoon, we have Lucky Charms. I had been holding out on the Lucky Charms because Fruity Pebbles are so amazo, in my opinion, but there’s nothing quite like those little crunchy freeze-dried marshmallows after they get soggy. We are using organic soy milk these days, with the exception of the kid who drinks whole milk: The lucky guy!
Interesting thought I had: I guess, as a mainly MOC and NIB collector, packaging has an overwhelming appeal for me. One thing that I really enjoy about Lucky Charms is indeed the box-art. In Psychology 101, we learned red stimulates hunger, so that is a wonderful marketing gimmick right there. A red box filled with marshmallowy goodness, with a leprechaun and his pot of gold making eye contact with you. Doesn’t get much better than that!
But yes, yes it does indeed get better, Junkies. The ending of this particular episode finds us at some sort of magical Ewok festival complete with costumes, merriment, and dancing. Nostalgia hit pretty hard towards the end, for me. Furry Ewoks and Chewbacca get me right in the soft spot. I hope you have all had a lovely Saturday morning. Cheers to nostalgia, and kicking our feet up on a wonderful weekend morning.
